Lady Snowblood

  Lady snowblood, originally written in  1972 - 1973, it was later adapted into english in 2005. It also recieved a cinema adaptation in 1979 which later inspired the film Kill Bill.
    Lady Snowblood is the story of  Oyuki, who is out to avenge her mother who was raped and murdered when Oyuki was a baby. She uses her sexuality and skill to brutally kill those who get in her way or are related to the events leading to her mothers death.
    This is classic sienen manga with its fantastic story, old school manga art work set in a realistic feudel japan. This is not one to be missed.

Vampire Knight

    My collection of Vampire Knight. Yes I know this is shojo manga (basically love stories aimed at females) but the box set looked so nice and for a bargin price I had to have it. The box set contains books 1 - 10 and also a cosplay style diary.
    Also the story is really good. The story is of a school which has a day class and a night class, but the night class has a secret. They are all vampires. Its up to a select few to make sure it stays that way. Its a standard love story between a day class girl and a night class boy with a few twists and unexpected events happening. Its worth your money at any rate, even if shojo manga isnt your usual manga purchase.

Date put back - H.O.T.D

    H.O.T.D Color Omnibus Edition vol 2 has been put back.................. to the 5th of november 2013. Thats 5 months longer than originally planned. I can only put it down to localization issues. If anyone knows why please feel free to comment.

Death Note Black

      Death Note Black. This is simply a must read. Anyone who reads manga needs this in their collection.  The Black edition is bigger than standard manga, has nice quality pages with black edging and each volume contains 2 of the original volumes making that 6 Black edition books in total. If you havent already you owe it too yourself to get this. The creator's Tsugumi and Obha are also the creator's of Bakuman.

    MW by Manga genius Osamu Tezuka. Probably one of thos most chilling works of manga you will ever have the privilege of reading. It has won best manga of the year from Publishers weekly and best international material at the eisner awards.
    The main character is a twisted person. He is religious but also gay, he's in the love with Father Garai. Both have there pasts intertwined to an island where the population was almost slaughted using a weapon known as MW. The main character, nakata, goes by many names and also dresses as a woman. He is sick, twisted and evil and blames his past and is now out for revenge but to do that he needs to get hold of MW.
    There is some shocking scenes that play out in this manga. Rape, murder, scenes of gay sexual activity, drugs and extreme violence but I honestly have only read a few manga that come close to its fantastic, dark story.

Welcome to the world.

    Just taking the chance to show you my .hack// collection thus far. Personally I love .hack. It's one of those stories you wish were true. Basically .hack is about various characters that play an MMO game called The World. There are various The Worlds that the stories are based in. For example .hack//link is based in The World RX, a new version of the previous Worlds. Complicated I know.
   Strange things start happening to the gamers while they are in their game like falling into a coma or not being able to get out of the game etc. Without ruining the story the books revolve the in-game Legend of the Dot-hackers. This manga and also novels are fantastic and if you are a bit of a gamer should have no problems with some of the word shortenings like MMO, PK's and HP etc. I started with .hack//Legend of the Twilight which I found introduced me gently into The world. Also keep an eye out for .hack//Sign which is a great anime series.

   Just purchased volume 4. Ive only read the first 3/22 so I really need to get back on with them. X has been taking most of my reading time up, that and my monster H.O.T.D color, hardback omnibus vol 1. Which it has to be said is crazy good.
